Five Christmas Break Office Cleaning Tips
Many businesses shut down for a week or two over the Christmas/New Year break. Many more shut down for even a few days around each.
In order to get ready for the busy months that lie ahead, a thorough cleaning can help kick start your preparation and revitalize your business’ appearance. To help make sure your business is ready to rock and roll during the new year, Clean Supreme presents five Christmas break office cleaning tips for businesses of all types:
- Switch Out Your Bulbs
With shorter days and less light, did you know 66% of consumers prefer to buy from socially conscious companies? While we don’t expect you to invest in a bunch of solar panels, you can start by swapping out old light bulbs for energy-efficient ones and using green cleaning supplies. Not only can you improve your brand image, but it can also save you money.
- Sanitize Desks
With the cold and flu season starting up, you will want to keep you office’s germ count down so grab some disinfecting wipes and wipe down all the desks and work areas in your office.
- Clear the Cobwebs
It’s probably been a while since you’ve gone around the office and cleaned all of the hard to reach nooks and crannies. In the spirit of the holidays cleaning, break out the stepladder, clear the cobwebs from the corners, dust those hard to reach spaces, and clean anything that isn’t cleaned on a regular basis.
- Clean Out the Fridge
Does your office have a kitchen? If so, now is the perfect time to go through your refrigerator and get rid of any spoiled, forgotten food your employees have left behind. Tell your employees to grab everything they want to keep and then toss the rest, swab it down and smell a clean refrigerator come the new year.
- Empty EVERY waste basket. Even a “paper only” bucket may be harboring the uneaten remains of a Subway Sandwich. Empty every trash container.
